Depending on water and ambient air temperature, the Scotsman UN1520AX-1 undercounter ice machine can make 167 lbs ice each day. This amount decreases in warmer conditions, making 125 lbs if the air is 90 degrees Fahrenheit and water is 50 degrees Fahrenheit. After ice is produced, it falls into the built-in compartment. Preferred by most customers, it makes nugget ice, which is chewable, cools drinks quickly, and takes on the flavor of the drink. With a 57-pound capacity, it comes with an ice scoop, and the compartment's slide-back door delivers convenient interior access. So it's easier to install than units that have to be cooled with water lines, the condensing unit in this Scotsman UN1520AX-1 undercounter nugget ice maker is integrated and cooled with air. Great for tight spaces, the unit is 20" wide and doesn’t need clearances on either side. It spans 38" tall on 6" legs so it doesn’t fit under ADA countertops, though if the legs are removed and replaced with a floor kit (sold separately), it will fit.
