The Scotsman MC0530SA-1/B530P Prodigy ELITE® comcompartmentation ice machine head and compartment ice maker can produce 525 lbs of small cube ice and can hold 536 lbs for later use. Ice is made by running water over an evaporator grid, where it slowly begins to freeze and gain its small cube shape. Once ice is frozen, a Harvest Assist pin pushes the ice out, and the WaterSense control purges mineral-filled water to get ready for the next cycle. Then the ice falls against the baffle and into the compartment, which is insulated to prevent melting. If some ice does melt, users can remove water from the interior with the drain. Operators can download Scotsman’s ICELINQ® mobile app to check the ice maker’s dashboard, adjust settings, and walk through a step-by-step cleaning process. The ice head's food zone—the area where ice is made—has several components with built-in antimicrobial protection.
