The Scotsman B948S ice storage compartment comes with an ice scoop and a built-in holder to keep ice sanitary and to keep the scoop in one place. Up to 700 lbs ice can be stored in the compartment at one time. The melting of ice is slowed by foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation. The compartment interior is made with polyethylene for sanitation, ease of cleaning, and scratch resistance. To access ice, there is a spring-loaded door that is easy to open and close because of hidden hinges. Durability is important in professional establishments, so the exterior of this compartment is made from stainless steel. The Scotsman B948S ice storage compartment can be used with Scotsman's Prodigy Plus® series and many of their other machines. Note: Does not produce ice.
