The Koolaire KDT0500A/K570 ice maker with compartment has an air cooling condenser, meaning refrigerant in the condenser coils is cooled with fan-circulated air. When the refrigerant is cooled, it chills the evaporator plate, freezing water as it moves on the plate to form cubes. It makes 0.875"-by-0.875"-by-0.875", full dice ice, which is ideal for restaurants and bars, and it generates as much as 515 lbs ice each day. Parts in the ice machine head that contact ice or water are located in the food zone. This area is accessible, and some of these components are removable to facilitate cleaning. Made of corrosion-resistant plastic, the components are durable, and since they are white, users can see when they need to be cleaned. The storage compartment can hold 532 lbs ice.
