This unit generates nugget-style ice, a popular form that is soft and chewable. To reduce the development of mold and mildew, key internal components are molded with Shield antimicrobial material and lit with UV lighting. Incoming water is filtered to collect any debris and particulates that may be present. To use the Follett 7UD112A-IW-CL-ST-00 water/ice dispenser, operators place their glassware below the nozzle, hover their finger in front of the sensor below their selection, and the selection will dispense. If any spillage occurs, it will collect in the 20-ounce drip tray for later disposal. If the unit is idle for a long duration, it will switch to sleep mode to conserve energy.
