The Manitowoc Ice IYT0500A Indigo NXT™ ice maker head utilizes an air cooling condenser system, and in a daily period, it can produce 550 lbs of half-dice ice, which is plenty of product for small restaurants. On the front of the unit, the head's easyTouch® touch screen display enables programming, including setting an after-hours inactivity state, adjusting quotas by daily ice volume, and troubleshooting problems with diagnostic tools. Cubes are created when water runs over the evaporator grid, freezes in place, and then falls into an ice compartment below, which is sold separately. An acoustical ice sensing probe monitors cube thickness for the Manitowoc IYT0500A professional ice machine head, ensuring consistent production regardless of water conditions. The DuraTech® exterior beats stainless steel at corrosion resistance and offers a clear coat to combat dirt stains and fingerprint smudges.
