Each full-size cube spans 7⁄8 inch on each side, and an ice-sensing probe checks the thickness to ensure consistency and proper operation despite discrepancies in water quality. The Manitowoc Ice IDT0450A ice machine continuously monitors itself, providing maintenance alerts and issue diagnostics as needed. If the unit needs to be cleaned, operators can open the front panel and remove parts from the food zone. Doing this enables thorough cleaning around components and prevents ice from tasting dirty.
