As incoming water in water-cooled systems is often cooler than ambient air, ice production is likely to be consistently high. For proper operation of the Hoshizaki KMD-505MWJ, a separate purchase of a collection compartment is required. The unit must be hardwired into the locations electrical system; this unit does not include a plug. The self-diagnostic program works with the EverCheck™ alert system to notify operators of any issues as they arise.
