This unit monitors itself for problems and beeps in a pattern to indicate any issues that it finds. A self-diagnostic system helps speed up the repair process so that the machine can run efficiently. The Hoshizaki KM-520MAJ ice maker generates crescent cubes that melt very slowly and take up more space in cups than other ice types. In this way, crescent cubes help reduce the total amount spent on beverages. Crescent-cube ice forms on each side of the evaporator plate and then drops into a compartment or dispenser.
