To keep flake ice produced by the FS0522A-1 ice maker chilled for extended periods, the Scotsman B530P ice compartment is constructed with a rotocast plastic exterior and polyurethane foam insulation that control the compartment's interior temperature. Its front-opening door is top hinged and users can access the ice maker's removable filter from the front. To resist scratches and chips from ice scoops, the compartment offers an impact-resistant polyethylene liner.
